Chinedy Uchechukwu is an Associate Professor (Reader) of Linguistics at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (UNIZIK), Nigeria.

He holds a PhD in Linguistics from Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg, Germany, with academic background in German philology, lexicography and lexical computing, and computational linguistics from Otto-from Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg, Germany, Goethe Institut, Lagos, University of Brighton, England, and Ruhr-Universität, Bochum, Germany.

At UNIZIK, he holds multiple administrative positions, including head of the Department of Linguistics, Chairman of the Faculty of Arts PG Committee, Faculty of Arts Postgraduate Sub-Dean, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Arts, Culture and Humanities.

His research interests in comparative grammar and applied linguistics, especially in cognitive linguistics and lexicography, have resulted in various scholarly publications.

Dr. Uchechukwu is author of Igbo Verb and Cognitive Linguistics, The Preposition in Igbo, Grammatiktheorie mit lexikographischem Ausblick, and Introduction to Lexicography, as well as many other refereed publications.

He is an active contributor to many national and international conferences.
