James Zotto is an Assistant Lecturer of History at the University of Dar es Salaam.
He also served as a visiting lecturer in several Universities in Tanzania, including St. John’s University of Tanzania, University of Dodoma and Stella Maris University College.
He holds a PhD in History at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and has academic background in Education.
His research interest is on the History of Border disputes in Africa, and has recently been working on the history of Malawi-Tanzania border disputes since the 1890s.
Dr. Zotto was a 2014 recipient of the American Council of Learned Societies’ (ACLS) African Humanities Program Dissertation Fellowship.
His research has already resulted in several publications and conference presentations.
