Jane Ngala Oduor is a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Linguistics and Languages at the University of Nairobi, Kenya.

She holds a PhD in Linguistics from University of Nairobi, with earlier background in English.

Her research interests in phonology, phonetics, language documentation, and multilingualism have led to extensive work experiences in several African countries.

She has studied the relationship between language and dialect and the linguistic structures of Kenyan and Ethiopian languages.

She also studies language policies in education in the East African context.

Jane participates actively in various international conferences.
